Vocational Nursing (VN)

In the United States, professional nurses predominantly operate in hospitals, elderly centers, and medical beauty clinics. Occupational nurses, overseen by Registered Nurses (RNs), focus on applying basic nursing knowledge and technology, executing nursing plans, and specializing in tasks such as wound care, aseptic techniques, medication dispensing, and injections. LVNs with IV certification can administer intravenous injections. LVN roles can serve as a pathway to RN, and further progression to BSN is possible. Occupational nursing is a thriving industry in the U.S., offering diverse employment opportunities with major medical institutions seeking skilled professionals. With a license obtained after a 11.5-month course, job security is assured, allowing for immediate entry into the workforce.
