Angeles Nursing's MA Program has rolling admissions, providing year-round course options. In essence, a Medical Assistant supports physicians in various medical settings, such as hospitals or clinics. This role requires professional education and diverse training to engage in both administrative and clinical tasks within medical institutions. Their responsibilities include:

Medical Assistant (MA)

● Welcoming patients, managing phone calls, and scheduling appointments
● Recording patient history and personal information
● Taking vital signs like blood pressure, height, weight, body temperature, pulse, and vital capacity
● Assisting doctors during patient examinations
● Administering intradermal, intramuscular, and intradermal injections
● Preparing blood samples for laboratory tests
● Inputting patient information into the medical system
● Generating patient bills and liaising with insurance companies

Prerequisite
  • High School Diploma or GED
Class Schedule
  • ● 900 Total Class Hours
  • ● 5.5 Months Lecture & Laboratory
  • ● 2.5 Months Internship

    2. ● Monday - Thursday (Theory/Lab)
